POSITION SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional who provides patient care in accordance with the standards, policies, and practices of Enloe Medical Center. The Registered Nurse prioritizes patient needs, coordinates patient care, and collaborates with other members of the patient care team to provide care in accordance with the medical plan of care. These services further the mission of Enloe Medical Center, which is to provide high quality, cost effective healthcare for the people in the communities we serve.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE: Desired: One year of acute nursing experience.

Desired upon hire, or completion within one year of employment: Basic Arrhythmia (or equivalent) Hemodynamics (or equivalent) Critical Care Course (or equivalent)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Minimum: Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing and current CPR recognition. ACLS required within 18 months of hire.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

PATIENTS SERVED: This position is responsible for age-related physiological, emotional and cognitive needs of the following age groups of patients: Pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
